H anayo is a shy first-year student who has a very reticent demeanor. At the beginning, Hanayo didn't exibit much self-confidence. She needed a push, usually from her childhood friend Rin, in order for her to really go after something.
Because of her passivity, she's easily forced or physically dragged into things by people around her. "Somebody help meeee" can be heard from a helpless Hanayo as she's being man-handled by everyone against her will.
If there is one thing that Hanayo takes the lead at, it's idol fandom. She's actally a huge idol otaku, and when the subject involves idols Hanayo takes on a completely different personality- That of a rabid fan who's so into her stuff that any shyness and passivity just goes out the window... She is then fully in charge!
